In 1995, Anthony Miller and partner Robert Hauser imported the San Francisco-style burrito to Colorado, opening the first Qdoba Mexican Grill in Denver. Qdoba immediately won over customers and critics with the restaurant's Mexican flavors and fresh ingredients.

Obviously, it was an idea whose time had come. Since Qdoba's beginnings, we've grown to include over 500 Qdoba Mexican Grill restaurants from coast to coast. And plenty more are on the way.

In 2003, Qdoba was acquired by Jack in the Box Inc., a publicly traded (NASDAQ: JACK) restaurant company headquartered in San Diego. In addition to Qdoba, Jack in the Box Inc. operates and franchises more than 2,180 restaurants in 18 states.

Throughout our history, we have focused on building brand equity and creating a solid unit- level economic model. By focusing our franchise growth through a select group of multi-unit/ multi-brand operators, we have built a rock solid foundation our franchises continue to build upon.

Qdoba is the largest fast casual Mexican franchise in the country. We were also just named the 4th largest limited service Mexican concept in the US. It is a great Chipotle alternative.

The backbone of any restaurant company is a strong and transparent supply chain. Our team manages the largest network of suppliers, vendors and distribution centers in the franchised, fast casual Mexican segment; period. And we don't make a penny off our restaurants, we believe in using our supply chain to grow our system, not profit from it. We make the success of our franchisees a top priority by providing the very best systems, support and brand equity.

We've built this business so you can focus on customers, employees and growth. We provide our franchisees support in each functional area of the business including: training & operations, marketing, information technology, supply chain, real estate, human resources, finance & accounting.
